We know the start of a new school year can be expensive, especially when children need new uniforms and other school essentials. That's why we're offering support to A2Dominion customers who are finding these costs difficult to manage. This support is funded through social value contributions from our suppliers.
Our Tenancy Sustainment Team can talk to you about your situation, explain what help may be available and make sure you're getting all the benefits you're entitled to.

What support is available?
Eligible customers can apply for up to £75 per child. This can be used for:
up to £50 in supermarket vouchers for everyday uniform items
up to £75 towards branded school uniform items
a mix of both, depending on what your family needs.
We know this may not cover the full cost of a child’s uniform, but we hope it will make a real difference to families who need extra help.

Changes to school uniform rules from September 2026
From September 2026, schools in England must limit the number of branded uniform and PE kit items that families have to buy.
For most schools, this means three branded items or fewer. Secondary and middle schools can ask for up to four branded items, but only if one of them is a tie. You can find more information in the government’s guidance on school uniform costs.
If you’re buying uniform for the new school year, check your child’s school website for its latest uniform policy. It’s also worth checking whether the school offers second-hand uniform, swap shops or other local support.
